🏥💟🧸 HMS STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN GOOD NIGHT LIGHTS: Hampden Meadows School students spent the last two months collecting 194 toys for children at Hasbro Childrens Hospital. Last night, after the conclusion of their toy drive, the HMS Student Council participated in Hasbro’s “Good Night Lights” event! From outside the hospital, they wished children inside a "good night" by flashing glow sticks and flashlights. Our students learned that they can make a difference in our community by working together and supporting others. Way to go, Hampden Meadows!

🎨🖌️🖼️ BHS STUDENT’S ARTWORK RECEIVES NATIONAL RECOGNITION: Congratulations to Barrington High School student, Ajax, whose artwork was recently selected by the College Board to appear in a national art exhibition! This year, the AP Art and Design Exhibit features the artwork of 50 students chosen from more than 80,000 who took AP 2D Design last school year. Ajax’s drawing, titled “Acceptance,” was made entirely with markers on paper and will be on display in the national art show throughout 2025. Way to go, Ajax! 🎉👏🏻

🏈🍗🔥BHS EAGLE BOWL THROWBACK THURSDAY: What's a Thanksgiving in Barrington without the annual bonfire and Eagle Bowl at Barrington High School? Last Tuesday night, the BHS Class of 2026 faced off against the Class of 2025 in an exciting juniors v. seniors flag football game. The recent arrival of much-needed rain allowed the bonfire to go off without a hitch. 🎈🎈🎈BALLOONS OVER PRIMROSE: Last week, on the day before Thanksgiving, Primrose Hill Elementary School hosted its own version of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! Inspired by Melissa Sweet's book, Balloons Over Broadway, students used skills and knowledge they learned in ELA, science, and art to design and construct three-dimensional floats for the "Balloons over Primrose" procession. 🐛🍄🌼STUDENTS HELP LAND TRUST CREATE TEACHING GARDEN AT BMS: BPS student members of the Barrington Land Conservation Trust's Student Stewardship Team recently planted 275 native pollinator plants to create a new teaching garden at Barrington Middle School. The pollinator garden will be a place where students can learn about local habitats and the importance of pollinators. Connor, a senior at Barrington High School, adopted the garden as his senior project and spent many hours digging out invasive species and preparing the garden for planting. A generous donation from Stormwater Innovation Center and Prickly Ed's Cactus Patch Native Plant Emporium provided the plants for this garden.
