• BMS Winter Band Concert, Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 7:00 pm in the BMS Auditorium 

• BMS Unified Theater, Friday, February 3, 2023 at 6:30 pm in the BMS Auditorium (doors open at 6:00 pm)

• 8th grade dental screening at BMS:  Wednesday, February 8, 2023

• Sports Night: Friday, February 10, 2023 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

• Presidents Day/February Recess:  Monday, February 20 through Friday, February 24, 2023

What is New at BMS!

BMS TV: 

Did you know that BMS has its own TV “Channel”? That is right! You can watch at home our daily morning show,  and any at-home sporting event or production. Please use the following link to access “BMS TV”:

BMS Family Learning Walks:

New dates out for BMS Family Learning Walks!  Family Learning Walks are opportunities for families to tour the building and see teaching/learning in action. Families may or may not see their own child’s classrooms.

If you are interested in attending a walk, please sign up here for ONE of the walks below (first-come, first-served basis). Space will be limited to 15 individuals per visit. A confirmation email will be sent to individuals confirming their participation.  

• Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am

• Monday, March 6, 2023 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am

• Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am

• Monday, May 8, 2023 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am

February Sport’s Night: 

Our next Sport’=s Night is scheduled for February 10, 2023, from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. This will be an all-grade Sports Night.

Drop-off/Pick-up Instructions:

If you choose to drop-off and pick-up your student from BMS, please see this map for directions.  Please note that the last early dismissal of the day is at 2:45 pm.

Early Pick-Up Reminders: 

Notes or emails to bmsattendance@barringtonschools.org are needed every time you need to dismiss your student prior to the end of school.  Middle School level students are not allowed to bike home, even with permission by note.  ID and a physical presence is required to dismiss your student early.  Please click here for full details about dismissing your student early from school.

PTO Corner: 

Welcome to the new school year from the BMS PTO! We are excited for the new year and a return to many of the events and activities that have been missed over the past couple of years. Here are a few PTO updates to start off the year:

• Join the PTO: Become a member of the BMS PTO for $20 through our BMS online store. Proceeds go directly to the school and PTO programs and membership is required to vote at PTO meetings.

• Volunteers needed: We are in great need of volunteers for the board (President, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary) and committees (Book Fair, Hospitality, Fundraising, One Amazing Night, Variety Show, 8th Grade Celebration).
