BMS Newcomers Program: Is your family new to the Barrington Middle School Community?
If you have recently moved to Barrington or your child has transferred to Barrington Middle School from another school district or from a private school, check out this opportunity!
We know how overwhelming it can be for kids to change schools. To assist in this transition, we are offering newcomers groups for students during the school day to orient them to what BMS has to offer. I am in the process of checking in with all newcomers and giving them a form for parents/guardians to review. If you’d like your student to participate, your son/daughter may be eligible to participate in a newcomer’s group, as available. I look forward to connecting with you. In the meantime, feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns: Kelley Clancy, LMHC Phone: 401-247-3160 ext. 1036 Email: clancyk@barringtonschools.org

Let’s Celebrate our Amazing Learning Community (note: below you will find our standing/weekly BMS Spotlight on Learning)
BMS Spotlight on Learning: This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight Reagan Pires and Samantha Drury. While leaving school on Friday afternoon, Reagan and Samantha came to the rescue to help Mrs. Texeira and Mr. Henderson. Mrs. Texeira was packing her car to bring food to Tap-In (Thank you, Mrs. T) and several apples fell out of a box and rolled through the parking lot. Reagan and Samantha got off their bikes and helped both teachers pick up the apples. They were the only two among a handful of students to stop and help. While it may have seemed like a small deed, it was a great show of kindness and support. Thank you Reagan and Samantha for spreading your kindness. This week, we would also like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Barbara Nozaki. Every morning Mrs. Nozaki brings the positivity with her dj and dance skills. One of the first encounters of students and families is Mrs. Nozaki’s enthusiastic greetings and catchy tunes. This gets the day started on the right foot for everyone. Thank you, Mrs. Nozaki, for always bringing the energy, passion, and fun starts each day! Do you know of a BMS Faculty/Staff/Student member that is shining bright? If you do, please complete the form below and we can include the nomination in an upcoming newsletter.
