Important Dates:

  • Students’ first day of school “Transition Day” - Monday, August 29, 2022

  • BMS Open House- Thursday, September 29, 2022 

Stay Connected with BMS:

First Day of School/Transition Day: 

Our first day of school is scheduled for Monday, August 29, 2022. This day will be a dedicated transition day for all of our students. Cluster and Allied Art teachers will be planning transition day activities. These activities include but are not limited to the creation of a class/cluster Charter, tour of the building, orientation/overview of various subjects, cluster/teaming activities, etc. Note: this is a required school day for all students. 

 

7th/8th Grade Students: 

8:40 am - 12:40 pm (bus transportation to and from school will be provided for eligible students) 

 

6th Grade Students: 

8:40 am - 3:15 pm (bus transportation to and from school will be provided for eligible students)

 

Arrival Procedures: 

As a brief reminder, students can arrive on campus beginning at 8:20 am. Prior to 8:20 am students will not be supervised as our supervision begins at 8:20 am. 

 

Arriving by Bus: 

Students taking the bus to school will enter the school using the main entrance by the front office. 

 

Arriving by Bike/Walking/Car/etc.: 

Students who arrive on campus by car/bike/walk will enter the school using the corner doors. This will be clearly marked on the first day of school.   Please click here for more detailed instructions and a map for dropoff and pickup.

 

6th Grade Students: 

Upon entering the school on the first day of school

  • Aqua cluster students will be reporting to the Media Center (library) 

  • Lime Cluster students will be reporting to the Auditorium. 

  • Yellow Cluster students will be reporting to the Student Union (Cafeteria) 

 

7th/8th Grade Students: 

Upon entering the school on the first day of school our 7th and 8th-grade students will be reporting to their first-period class. When looking at your schedule, this is the very first block.

Student Supplies: 

This school year, the Barrington Public School Department will be purchasing student supplies for all students. When students arrive at school for the new school year, cluster teachers will be distributing these supplies to the students. There will be no “suggested supply list,” and no need for shopping for school supplies. 

Chromebook Insurance:

If you are interested in purchasing optional insurance for your student’s Chromebook, please click here for more information.  There are options for purchasing insurance for one, two or three years. Deadline for ordering is September 24, 2022 for purchasing. 

Drop-off/Pick-up Instructions:

If you choose to drop-off and pick-up your student from BMS, please see this map for directions.

Change in menu for day one:

Chicken tenders will be the menu choice on day one instead of French Toast Sticks.
