BMS Spotlight on Learning! This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Ms. Taglione. Mrs. Tags is my Social Studies and Humanities teacher and she has been really nice to me which I appreciate because I'm new to the district. (Submitted by a Lime Cluster Student, Leela Kamat) This week we would also like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Mr. Eric Alteri, and the BMS TV Studio Crew! Wow! This past Friday was our first every BMS Morning TV Show. When we built our new building, we were excited about the potential of this new program and the opportunities it will bring our students. Friday morning was a great day where the vision became a reality. Well done Mr. Alteri and the entire BMS TV Studio Crew! Do you know of a BMS Faculty/Staff/Student member that is shining bright? If you do, please complete the form below and we can include the nomination in an upcoming newsletter.

If you have any questions/concerns about these challenges, please reach out to your child’s school counselor or BMS administration. We appreciate our partnership in keeping all of our students safe! Below you will find some additional information regarding these challenges:

Newcomers Program: DATE CHANGE!
Are you or your child new to the Barrington Community? If you have recently moved to Barrington or your child has transferred to Barrington Middle from another school district or from a private school, read on... We know how overwhelming it can be for kids to change schools. To assist in this transition we are again offering newcomers groups for students during the school day to orient them to what Barrington Middle School has to offer. If you’d like your student to participate, please feel free to contact the Student Assistance Counselor (see below) for more information! To kick off the year, we will be hosting a Newcomers Family Picnic on Thursday, October 14th from 5pm-6:15pm. Pack your picnic baskets! We will be meeting at the picnic tables outside the front of the building. This will be a great chance to meet other newcomers and their families, play some games, and learn more about Barrington! If you have any questions, or would like to learn more about the program, please reach out to Jordan Rodrigues, MA, R-DMT - Student Assistance Counselor, at (401) 247-3160 extension 1036 or email at rodriguesj@barringtonschools.org. Thank you!
