The program uses Latin as a vehicle to deepen students' understanding of both English and Spanish and acts as a great primer for anyone interested in studying Latin at the high school later, in addition to strengthening overall literacy in English. The Aequora program will be taught by Kelly Smith (BHS World Language Teacher) and BHS Latin students. January 22, 29 February 5, 12, 26 March 4, 11, 18 2. Athletes will learn the language of rowing and the technique of the rowing stroke through various drills and exercises. In addition, athletes will build cardiovascular endurance and strength through cross-training work. Using BMS's WaterRowers as well as 10 more machines generously donated by WaterRower, athletes will be able to feel the connection of the stroke through the water. This program introduces a new sport that many young athletes have not participated in.
